We’ve been thinking a lot about how we talk about what we do.

For a long time, if you asked someone what Day to Day Finance does, they would probably say bookkeeping. And yes, bookkeeping is a big part of what we do—but it’s definitely not all we do.

‍

Over the years, we’ve worked alongside growing businesses through all kinds of things. We’ve helped clean up messy books, build better processes, figure out cash flow, put budgets and forecasts together, strengthen financial controls and work through the questions that come up as a business grows.

‍

In a lot of ways, we’ve been acting as our clients’ finance team for years. The problem was, our website didn’t really tell that story.

‍

So, we changed that.

‍

We’ve updated our website and our look to better reflect what Day to Day Finance actually does and, more importantly, how we work with our clients. But don’t worry, nothing is changing for our clients—it’s business as usual. We’re just doing a better job of showing what we’ve been doing all along.

We’re a finance team for growing Canadian businesses.

That means we’re not just keeping your books up to date. We’re helping build the financial side of your business so it actually works for you.

That might mean tightening up your processes, making the month-end run more smoothly, getting your systems talking to each other, finding ways to automate the repetitive stuff, or sitting down with you to figure out what the numbers are actually telling you.

As your business grows, the financial side gets more complicated. Our job is to help make sure it doesn’t become a burden.
